Michael Doran

Portfolio Manager, Emerald Bay Partners, and President, Sierra Capital Investors, Inc.

Michael Doran is President of Sierra Capital Investors, Inc., a registered investment adviser (registered with the state of California). Mr. Doran and his firm, Sierra Capital Investors Inc. has managed the accounts of wealthy individuals and Institutions going back to 1997. Mr. Doran launched his long/short equity fund in January 2002.

Mr. Doran’s background consists of almost two decades of trading experience. His experience includes the management of securities, real estate investments and regional economic analysis, as well as owning/operating a multi-million-dollar retail corporation. Mr. Doran is well-respected for his acumen in the investment community. He has been quoted frequently in Investors Business Daily and has offered investment advice to other financial publications such as The Wall Street Transcript, Physicians Money Digest, Financial Times.com and the Sacramento Bee.

Mr. Doran was one of the first nationally certified CANSLIM® advisors. It is this methodology that forms the foundation of the General Partner’s aggressive and flexible investment approach.

Mr. Doran earned his MBA from California State University, Sacramento (1999). His graduate work focused on finance, asset allocation and portfolio management. Mr. Doran is also a CMT (Certified Market Technician) candidate and has completed upper level technical analysis coursework at Golden Gate University, San Francisco.
